PURSHOTTAM MAAS/ADHIK MAAS

Neeko Lagat Purashottam Maas, Jaki Mahima Jagat Bakhanat,Karat Bhakt Sab Jaki Aas.

Aapahi Suraj Aapahi Chanda, Aapahi ko sab Hot Prakash..

Aapahi Jogbhog sab arapat,Ve hi Prabhu Man man Ullhas.

Jyon jyon daan karat prabhu na hit,Tyon tyon Badhat Prem ki aas.

Surdas Prabhu sab ke swami, Hon raho Charanan ke paas..

Purshottam Maas / Adhik Maas ki aap sab ko Badhai.

Purshottam Maas.

Calculations:-
Vikram Samvat Varsh Ganana (calculation ) is according to the movement of moon.Which is called Chandra Varsh.Chandra Varsh(Moon) is shorter to Surya Varsh (Sun calendar) by 10 days 21 hrs and 20 min and 35 sec. So in 3 yrs when it come to 30 days difference both years are adjusted by adding one month to it and this year is called Mal Maas (extra month).

Pauranik Tathya:-
Where are the references of Purshottam Maas.

In Vradaranya Puran their 31 chapters (Adhyay),In Mugdha Katha 4 chapters.Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha ekadashi Mahatmya in 2 chapters. Vyatipaat Vrat Katha one chapter. So total Puranik Chapters -38.So we have references in 38 chapters for Purshottam Maas.

Why Mal Maas Is called Purshottam Maas?

References are in foll stories: Medhavi Rishi Ka charitra,Durvasa ke Krodh ke Dropadi ke paanch pati ka shrap.Dradhdhanva raja ka charitra ,Sudev ka charitra, Purshottam Pujan ka niyam.Chitra Bahu raja ka charitra,Tel Dipak daan ka mahatva, Purshottam Maas ka Vratodyapan Vidhi etc etc….

In Short Stories goes like this:-Mal Maas was considered low.Mal maas was upset with this and He wanted solution from Purshottam.Pursottam gave Him His six Guna Aishwarya ,Veerya,Yash,Shree,Gyan, and Vairagya. And Purshottam announced that from now onwards Mal Maas will be called Purshottam Maas and I myself will be swami of this month.Hence Purshottam Maas.

Pushtimargiya importance:-For pushti jeev seva is not Naimitik (occasional) it is Nitya Regular so for Pushti jeev seva is same and there is no Vishesh lila.Ya since its an extra month so Pushti jeev has excuse to do extra seva 13 months instead of 12 month .So its occasion of happiness. So in short Pushti Jeev gets and good excuse to use Purshottam maas for more seva so that He can do more Laad for thakurji in form of Manorath or any kind of celebrations.

Shri Vallabhacharyaji Baithak, Lohgard (Goa)

Album: Shri Vallabhacharyaji Baithak, Lohgard (Goa)
Pratham Grha Virajaman Jagatguru Shrimad Vallabhacharyaji 43rd Baithak, discovered and established by Nityalilasth Shri Ranchoracharyaji Prathamesh

Mahaprabhuji Shri Vallabhacharya Baithak at Lohgadh, Goa (Saankhli Goa)
Phone: 0832 236.4856
To enlighten divine souls, Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya undertook three pilgrimages around the Indian continent. In Goa, he stopped at Lohagarh, where his disciple Damala said, "Your teachings will uplift the ignorant souls who reside here in this scenic place."

Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya replied, "Over there is a mountain with a waterfall. Nearby is a rock with the imprint of an elephant's foot. There are also three ponds. In the first pond celestial ladies bathe. The second is enjoyed by divine musicians, while Indra, accompanied by other gods, arrives at the third pond every full moon to delight in the waters." In Lohagarh, the sweet aroma from Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhcharya's lotus feet liberated thousands of souls.

Nearly five hundred years later, Pratham Peethadheeshwar H.H. Goswami Shri Ranchorlalji “Prathameshji” discovered the elephant’s footprint where Shri Mahaprabhuji had given his teachings. A "baithak," a seat where the great Acharya halted along his pilgrimage and gave teachings to his followers, has been constructed with the help of the local bhaktas and Goswami Shri Milan Baba, Shri Prathameshji’s grandson.
The Goa baithak is not only a sacred site where Shri Mahaprabhuji taught, but also a personal home of the Pratham Peeth Acharyas. Therefore the Bhav-Prathishtha of Shri Mahaprabhuji’s seva was made along with a ‘Grihapravesh’ ceremony. This auspicious event took place on May 23rd, 2000, with Pratham Peethadheeshwar Goswami Shri Vithalnathji Maharaj and son Goswami Shri Milan Babashri presiding.
